My Zuri roadmap
The Zuri team is made up of intellectual individuals from diverse cultures in the world of technology that are capable of bringing about changes worldwide. It is this team that I recently joined to begin my baby steps into the Zuri internship program as a frontend developer.
Technology has not always been my first choice frankly speaking. In fact, I majored in Accounting in the university. So what is my drive? The world is dynamic- ever-changing with new ways of doing things and solving problems. Technology on the other hand is one of the world's greatest breakthroughs. It is evident in our everyday activities. Personally, I am fascinated by how programs are developed and problems are solved.
What are my goals for this internship? when I first signed up, I wondered what my aims would be. I was initially confused, however, seeing the drive and passion in my fellow teammates and colleagues in the journey, I have now defined my goals clearly. Firstly, I want to come up to speed with designs, technology and programming. In other words, I want to be able to get the basic skills needed as a frontend developer such as the knowledge of HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and other tools necessary. Secondly, asides familiarizing myself with the skills, I want to put them to use in actually creating designs and having exciting tasks to fulfill that. Lastly, I hope to push myself to go beyond- to be able to explore and challenge myself as well.
What do I hope to have achieved in 8 weeks? I hope to have acquired the skills aforementioned and to be able to work under pressure in collaboration with my fellow teammates to surmount challenges and become an excellent problem solver. Also, I hope to build lasting relationships with other interns even outside of Zuri.
On a final note, I'm thankful to the Zuri team for putting this up for people like me to be a part of. This is just the beginning.
